Magicka Sorcerer Stage 4 Vampire Frenzy Doctor

Magicka Sorcerer Stage 4 Vampire PvE. Frenzy Doctor

This build is all about maximising Simmering Frenzy. We're aiming to get some crazy Spell Damage numbers, I've pushed 10k Spell Damage on Twitch recenlty and that's with purple gear.

The Sorcerer has argueably some of the best passives in game that synergise well with the vampire skill line especailly in the dark magic tree. Unholy Knowldege reduces the Health, Magicka, and Stamina costs of your abilities by 6% and persistnce gives after blocking an attack, your next Health, Magicka, or Stamina Ability costs 15% less, Both these passives help reduce the cost of Simmering frenzy. Plus the Sorcerer can get some crazy base spell damage before you've even applied any buffs. My starting point for Simmering Frenzy sits easily at 4500 spell damage which is huge. There are also some nice group passives which your team will thank you for.

As with all the PvE vampire builds that I do the focus is about building simmering frenzy.  Start with activating simmering frenzy, buff yourself drop you heal over time then start laying on the pain with your damage rotation. Once you've reached a peak where simmering frenzy is ploughing through your health per tick drop the Swarmming Scion vampire ult for a further 20 seconds of up time. By the end of your ultimate you should be reaching max spell damage numbers and melting everything in your path.

This build is mainly single target focused until you pull your ult though you will have a bit of aoe damage with your 2 handed great sword and boundless storm.

Vampire Lord
Type: Overland
Location: Bangkorai

When it comes to keeping the uptime of simmering frenzy, having the Vampire Lord's is a go to. It will also reduce the cost of all your vampire abilities by a further 20% which is great. Your Health recovery is zero but this is no problem as you'll be getting loads of healing through the Ring of the Pale Order

We want this build to be a light armour set so you need to slot this in arms, legs, waist, shoulders and boots.

Name: Plague Doctor
Type: Overland
Location: Deshaan

A simple set. It's all about health so we can keep the uptime of simmering frenzy on for longer. It's very cheap in the guild stores. I got a complete set for sub 10k gold. It's a heavy armor set so take one piece for the chest to maximise armor stat but the rest should be 2 handed sword, restoration staff and jewlery.

Ring of the Pale Order
Type: Mythic
Location: Antiquties System
Requires DLC: Markarth

This ring has really enabled solo builds but it was also enabled some huge uptime for simmering frenzy. Every source of damage procs a heal. in the later stages of simmering frenzy it workds best on aoe damage as each damage tick will be hitting for a tonne of damage and will reach cap of 2750 heal return. You'll need it because in the later stages simmering will be costing 20k hp.

Monster set
Type: Mythic
Location: Antiquties System
Requires DLC: Markarth

We've 1 spare slot with this loadout so a monster set head piece is preferable. Pick one that suits your requirements

I've selected Domihaus for the extra Magicka and Stamina but take your pick.

Crystal Fragments.png

Crystal Fragments  offers a lot. 10% cost reduction of your next ability. Great for further reduction of simmering. Also synergises with Artieral burst to proc an instant cast with 66% extra damage. A great front bar rotation skill

Arterial Burst.png

Normally I would chose blood for blood but in this case I've gone artieral burst to proc crystal fragments. It's also heal on crit under 50% crit with the critical surge passive

Endless Fury.png

Endless Fury is your finisher so only use it under 20% or on trash that will die under 4 seconds for some AOE damage. It also gives back 4k magicka back on elimination if the target dies under 5 seconds.

Dark Conversion.png

Dark Conversion helps your resource sustain but also gives you a decent heal. It's got a weird lag at the end of the spell that prevents bar swap which is why I've stuck it on the front bar.

Streak.png

Streak is great for stuns but an absolute hog on resources. I'm enjoy spamming to jump around the map but you really should not do this as you'll end up with no resources. Don't do what I do save your magicka and use it to stun. :)

Energy Overload.png

Energy Overload is a toggle ultimate and can be used to get resources back but you also do a decent amount of damage especailly if you're on simmering frenzy. Use it sparingly though as you want to save for big boy Scion. You also get 2% Spell Damage buff slotted with the Expert mage passive.

Boundless Storm.png

Boundless Storms is a nice source of AOE damage but also a good source of crit giving you regular heals. The extra resitance is welcome too.

Exhilarating Drain.png

Exhilarating drain is a massive ability when you have a huge health pool as it restores 23% of your missing health. It's also a massive ult builder so you can get your ultimate up faster. Don't worry about spamming ult your turn around is pretty quick with this.

If you're not using this ability I would reconmmend switching it for Necrotic Orb for extra aoe damage and Undaunted synergy

Radiating Regeneration.png

Radiating Regeneration is your only heal you need to always keep active. With Simmering your'll be dropping dot healing bigger than any single target heal.

Simmering Frenzy.png

Simmering Frenzy. The focus of the build. Just make sure you turn it off when stunned or before you come out of scion. As you'll be very weak At full charge it's costing 20k health plus.

Critical Surge.png

Critical Surge is your Major Sorcerery buff as well as 3k heal on crit. While at full simmering 3k heals is not much it's not to be sniffed at.

Swarming scion.png

Swarming Scion is your aoe damage and sustain while you in the later stages of simmering frenzy. Be a boss and activate it all the time.
